This SCP Foundation was founded on the 13th of August, 2018 by Administrator_Hades who is now retired from the SCP genre. The group was then sold to S_w1ft on the 23rd of November, 2018. S_w1ft led this group to its height, and from 2020-2021, Area Omega was one of the most active SCP genre games, along with Pathos and Phoenix. However, when the new version of Area Omega released, "Omega Redux", many people disliked it and it caused a lot of issues within the Foundation.
