Metably's Special Containment Procedures Foundation (formerly known as Swift's) is a notable SCPF. Following a controversy regarding S_w1ft, the group was sold to DasPariet. During Pariet's tenure as owner, many of his overseers and the administrators that he appointed had resigned. On 14 November 2022 the group changed ownership to Metably in a group ownership swap with DasPariet.

History

This SCP Foundation was founded on 13 August 2018 by Administrator_Hades who is now retired from the SCP genre. The group was then sold to S_w1ft on the 23 Novermber 2018. S_w1ft led this group to its height, and from 2020-2021, Area Omega was one of the most active SCP genre games, along with Pathos and Phoenix. Nothing notable happened until the 23 February 2022. Their O5-X, RaymondCostello was exposed for conducting illegal activities with [UNKNOWN] (one of their subdivisions of their Intelligence Agency). Every department Discord servers were admin abused, and mass resignations took place on 24 February 2022. RaymondCostello was fired by S_w1ft, but the damage was already done, and most Overseers resigned. On 25 February 2022, S_w1ft and the remaining O5 Councilors resigned and the group was sold to DasPariet.

Initially, DasPariet sustained the activity on Area Omega they had while S_w1ft was the Administrator. However, as time went on, the group became less active for unknown reasons. Due to the inactivity and the overall negative opinion towards Pariet from the High Command, on 9 November 2022, many people transferred to a new community that is currently led by ToastMage. DasPariet swapped groups with Metably on the 14 November 2022.

Metably—ToastMage conflict

On 21 December 2022, Metably sent a DMCA takedown notice against ToastMage's Area Omega, which was subsequently accepted by Roblox Staff. ToastMage immediately responded to this incident, and declared his intentions to appeal the DMCA, while attempting to reach an agreement with Metably. An agreement was not reached, and as a result, sanctions including a group blacklist was issued against Metably. ToastMage's game was down from 21 December 2022 to 22 March 2023, and during this time, toxicity from both communities were constantly directed to the other, including serious accusations. Following ToastMage's successful appeal of the DMCA on 22 March 2023, subsequent DMCAs were successfully filed by Metably on 16 April 2023, 1 June 2023, and 12 December 2023. However, each of these DMCAs were appealed within a duration of one week. On 28 December 2023, Metably reached an agreement with ToastMage, allowing ToastMage to continue using his Area Omega version and the lifting of blacklists imposed by both groups.

Metably—DasPariet conflict

On 14 January 2023, DasPariet launched multiple admin abuse attacks on Metably's SCPF. He claimed that following the ownership swap, Metably failed to uphold his end of the deal in giving 20% of the revenue to DasPariet. The attacks stopped after this day, and DasPariet was welcomed into ToastMage's group, even though a majority of DasPariet's community seceded under the leadership of ToastMage on 9 November 2022.

Metably Ephebophilia

On July 2, 2024, an organization known as the Genre Security Accord released a document in where Metably was outed for dating a minor (16 years old) meanwhile he was a legal adult (20 years old). After the accusations he attempted to disprove them by arguing that "It was legal." But then it was revealed that the victim, who was also his O5-2, was residing in California where the legal age of consent is 18 years of age. Ultimately, this only proved the running allegations he had against him for the previous years. That said, the group continued operations.

The Administrator

The Administrator is the highest individual in Area Omega. Currently, this position has full control over the group, and is able to veto O5 Council votes, along with the O5 Head. During DasPariet's tenure as the owner of Area Omega, the Administrator was a ceremonial role, while the owner held the most authority. This position is currently held by Metably.

O5 Head

The O5 Head is the second-in-command of Area Omega, working directly under the Administrator. The O5 Head is able to veto O5 Council votes, along with the Administrator. During S_w1ft's and DasPariet's administration, this role was known as O5 Executive (O5-E). After the resignation of DasPariet, this position was removed until Metably re-implemented it on 6 May 2024. This position is currently held by Lordnoobstan.

O5 Council

The O5 Council consists of 9 individuals who oversee a department within Area Omega. They have the power to collectively make decisions about anything related to the operations of Area Omega. Only the Administrator and the O5 Head are able to veto decisions from the O5 Council.

Site Director

The Site Director is in charge of hosting events on Area Omega.

Level 4

Level 4 is a clearance held by directors of a department.

Level 3

Level 3 is a clearance held by senior members of a department, including management and directorate positions.

Level 2

Level 2 is an appliable clearance. This clearance consist of experienced department members.

Level 1

Level 1 is an appliable clearance.

Level 0

Level 0 is the first appliable clearance. They are considered to be an entry role held by new members of Area Omega. Personnel with a Level 0 clearance are allowed and encouraged to apply or tryout for a department in order to progress through the ranks.

Class E

Class E is a role issued to members who are suspended and/or banned from Area Omega.

Class D

Class D is the first rank in Area Omega. Those in this rank are test subjects.
