This SCP Foundation was founded on the 13th of August, 2018 by Administrator_Hades who is now retired from the SCP genre. The group was then sold to S_w1ft on the 23rd of November, 2018. S_w1ft led this group to its height, and from 2020-2021, Area Omega was one of the most active SCP genre games, along with Pathos and Phoenix. However, when the new version of Area Omega released, "Omega Redux", many people disliked it and it caused a lot of issues within the Foundation. Nothing notable happened until the 23rd of February, 2022. Their O5-X, RaymondCostello was exposed for conducting illegal activities with [UNKNOWN] (one of their subdivisions of their Intelligence Agency). Every department Discord servers were admin abused, and mass resignations took place on the 24th. RaymondCostello was fired by S_w1ft, but the damage was already done, and the Foundation collapsed. On the 25th, S_w1ft and every other O5 Councilor resigned and the group was sold to DasPariet.

Initially, DasPariet kept Omega Redux active, as there were many people who still wanted to keep their positions, and did not want their positions to go to waste over an issue two people caused. However, as time went on, the group became inactive. After 6 months of zero progress, and DasPariet not paying their developers, half of the community revolted against him, admin abused department Discord servers, and moved to a new community that is currently led by [[ToastMage]]. After losing half his members to Toast, Pariet then swapped groups with Metably, as an attempt to have a new start and to regain his reputation in the SCP genre.

Swift's Special Containment Procedures Foundation is a notable SCPF. Following a controversy regarding S_w1ft, the group was sold to DasPariet. During Pariet's tenure as owner, many of his overseers (and even the administrators he had appointed) resigned. On 14 November 2022 the group changed ownership to Metably in a group ownership swap with DasPariet.
