The Medical Department[1], more commonly known as Medicinal Department, is an independent and civilian department that takes place in SCPF: THETA, and acts as the primary body for all medicine, healing, and health-related matters, from psychology, to applied sciences such as biochemistry, and surgery, the medical department handles with any and all injuries that occur on Research Cavern Orion, it has been with the foundation since the beginning, and has served as one of the smaller civilian departments within the Foundation for some time since 2020. It has an Overseer that represents it on behalf of all civilian departments, and features primarily on-site based duties, and off-based duties alike. This department specialises on the health of all foundation staff, as well as ensuring the integrity, and healing process for staff on Research Cavern Orion.
This department features a basic rank structure with some unique naming conventions, additionally it is one of the few departments to allow a foreign programme within the departmental rank for foreign aide, in addition to this the rank structure is one of the smaller rank structures, with only the Ethics Committee being the smaller department by both rank and membership.

These ranks resemble the executive floor of the department, responsible for all of the day-to-day management and business of the department. This includes managing with orientations and internships. In addition they are also responsible for managing the internal structure of the department, including admissions.
The main commanding floor of the department, responsible for the upkeep of quota, and ensuring that all functions of the department are handled smoothly, from day-to-day operations with department staff, to trainings, events, moderation, and community engagement, the command team is responsible for all forms of administration. However it does not handle with admissions.

The main staff of the Medical Department are comprised of the three main low ranking staff members each member has their part in the process of ensuring that all members (especially those in lower ranking positions) get to learn the ropes overtime rather than forcibly learning it all at one point. Individuals are expected to understand that all individuals regardless of standard, or ideology are expected to upkeep all forms of standard practice whilst operating.

The Medical Department, was originally called Medicinal Department, and its current director was inducted at June 14th 2023[3], and has been the effective director of the department for some time now, the department was on a significant decline since the state of The Theta Complex was not in a good state to where personnel could feasibly operate departments leading to its closure, and because of this the department has recently been on a significant increase of membership and infact the department has been managing with its documentation in a more effective manner leading to its inception, and in addition to this numerous systems within Research Cavern Orion have been identified since then[4][5]
