The Genre Accountability Coalition (GAC) was a coalition of numerous SCPFs and GoIs formed in the wake of the Aurentha drama.[1] It was designed to shedding light on dark deeds committed by individuals and groups, while not being overly assertive over other SCPFs. Prior attempts at unity, such as SCP Verses, have all faltered as they aimed for authoritative roles within the genre. The genre did not show support for these actions, expressing a refusal to be dictated to by a third party lacking grounds for punishment. In the case a predator, like Aurentha, was found, the hope was that the allied groups would all simultaneously blacklist the user. Unlike similar groups, GAC attempted to appear as professional and official as possible.
Actions
GAC was responsible for the genre blacklist of Aurentha, TheeDeer, and the Thunder Scientific Corporation.[2]
End
GAC quickly started to degrade as many smaller SCPFs saw their alliance as an opportunity to grow their group. After the Aurentha drama, many SCPFs enabled rank transfers from Pathos to their group, trying to recruit players leaving Pathos due to the drama. From then on, some of the SCPFs attempted to push a genre blacklist on Pathos for any (even small) breach in contract, to try to get more rank transfers. On 24 March 2024, cubvul and xol2creamy leaked Internal Security Service information in the attempt to "defame" Pathos. Many groups became to end their alliance with GAC and GAC shutdown on 9 April 2024 due to a 6-0 internal vote. However, this was not announced until 5 May 2024 and the server was deleted on 12 May 2024.[3]
